When Frederick Waters and his family boarded the "Light Brigade " in 1869 they brought all they owned for their trip to the Colony of Queensland including the one thing that would ensure Fred would start work as soon as the ship docked, his hand barrow. Fred began his business in Brisbane by moving goods by hand to and from the wharves and markets of the fledgling town the way he did in Hackney in England. By 1872 he had purchased his first wagonette and horse and ten years later, he and his wife Frances were the owners of many wagons and furniture vans as well as a furniture shop on Petrie Terrace and boarding houses in Caxton Street. Since those days, Fred and Frances' descendants have ensured that the Waters Family continue to be leaders in the Transport industry in Queensland. In 2010. Fred's great, great grandson is the Managing Director of Pink Pallets,Queenslands foremost supplier of pallets and skids to the transport and warehousing industries. With statewide and national transport facilities in place to ensure your pallets are delivered promptly,Pink Pallets continues to lead the way in Queensland.
